Van Morrison was born on Hyndford Street in Belfast. Cyprus Avenue (in the photo above) is a street not far from Van Morrison's birthplace in Belfast. One of his most popular songs is named after this street, where he would walk and ruminate about his music. Morrison's eclectic musical style often includes soul music, R&B, jazz, Celtic, and a sort of stream of consciousness. Van Morrison's career took off with "Brown Eyed Girl" in 1967. |
